Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Your Kenya safari begins in Nairobi, where your Felessy Tours & Safaris driver-guide will meet you at your hotel, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or another agreed location.

After introductions and a short safari briefing, your luggage will be loaded into the Land Cruiser and you will begin your journey south toward Amboseli National Park.

Leaving Nairobi behind, the city gradually gives way to smaller towns and increasingly open landscapes. Your driver-guide will make appropriate comfort stops along the route while introducing you to the journey ahead.

As you approach the Amboseli ecosystem, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic.

On a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro may appear on the horizon. Although Africa’s highest mountain lies across the international border in Tanzania, some of the most famous views of Kilimanjaro are experienced from Amboseli on the Kenyan side.

You will arrive at your selected lodge or tented camp for check-in and lunch, depending on the exact timing of the journey.

Later in the afternoon, depart for your first game drive in Amboseli National Park.

Amboseli is particularly famous for its elephants. Large family groups can often be seen moving between feeding grounds and the park’s wetlands. Day 2: Full-Day Amboseli Safari

Maasai Mara park access operates on a daily entry framework rather than allowing the previous day’s park entry to continue automatically into the next morning.

Your included Maasai Mara game drives therefore take place during the scheduled park-entry periods on the preceding days.

Adding another reserve game drive on Day 7 would require the appropriate additional park entry to be included in the safari price.

You do not need a large amount of specialist equipment for this safari.

Do we have a game drive in the Maasai Mara on Day 7?

Not under the standard itinerary. After breakfast and check-out, you depart for Nairobi. An additional Day 7 game drive would require the appropriate additional reserve entry and must be requested and priced separately.
